I thought I'd share. No more spam from me today - um, that's not a promise, but a goal.

My local newspaper named BSG among it's "in" for the "in and out" of 2008. I quote:

"Cult shows like 'Friday Night Lights' and 'Battlestar Galactica' continue to be buzz-worthy, despite less-than-stellar ratings. The Sci-Fi Channel has even greenlit a 'Galactica' prequal series, 'Corsica', about the car we used to drive in 1993. Actually, we're guessing about the subject matter."

I'm trying to figure out if the whole Corsica thing is a joke, or if the author really thinks it is Corsica and then made the joke about the car...

Yesterday while on the T, I listened to my latest "This American Life" podcast. It had Dan Savage describing on-going conversations with his adopted six year old about love, life, and gay marriage. I don't think the podcast is available anymore, but if you happen to stumble on it, listen! It's hilarious! I was certainly laughing out loud and getting a few looks.

And, I think I saw Eliza Dushku's cousin or something on the way back. This woman had a similar build, hair, and facial structure. And she was getting hit on too. ;) Given that Dushku is from Watertown, it's not out of the picture, is it?

I've been reading Tahmoh's little statement about fans and social graces all over the place. Sure he probably said more than he should of and is being somewhat unappreciative. But, really I'm not taking offense to it. Why?

Because when I met him, I totally came off as having no social graces because, unlike with Jamie, Katee, or Kate, I was a speechless, silly fangirl when I met Tahmoh. Not knowing me or having had any other interaction with me, I could totally see him thinking I had no social graces. If other fans acted the way I did, I could see him getting that impression.

I like to think that, if I met him again, I would be more at ease, having that first meeting under my belt now (so to speak). I'm still quite proud of pulling on my professional experience during the Q&A so I didn't make a complete ass of myself in front of a hundred (or more?) people, but it would have been nice to put together a coherent sentence during the picture and autograph session. And I don't remember the dessert too much - I was on my third or fourth glass of wine of the night by then. So not sure how I acted.
